Central Freight Lines began Texas service in 1925 and was an intrastate carrier until 1991-92 when Central began to expand to Oklahoma, Arkansas,New Mexico and Tennessee. Currently Central covers most of the Southwest, from Louisiana to California. The Central terminal in Houston is the 2nd largest LTL terminal in the world, second only to Central's Dallas facility. The Houston terminalhandles 2200 outbound shipments and 1250 inbound shipments each day. The pickup and delivery trucks drive 15,000 miles per day! The dock has 326 doors and the dock itself is 2000 feet long by 180 feet wide.  Along with the tour, Frank Loria, Assistant Terminal Manager, will give ussome insight on what happens to our freight once it leaves our docks.
